Mission

A Focus on Hands-on Real-world Investment Research
The Certified Securities Analyst (CSA)TM Program focuses on hands-on analytical investigation and real-time investment research written and presented by CSA Candidates as they pass intense examinations to earn their designation. We take pride at being the pioneer at getting back to practical Graham-Buffett Value Investing and moving away from academic tests and Modern Portfolio Theories. By weed out the theoretical academic shenanigans that have been proven irrelevant in the real world, we focus on time-tested investment strategies and practical research techniques that can make a difference in people’s lives.

Maximizing the Return on Time and Money in Investment Education
As a young not-for-profit educational organization, we are not internationally recognized yet, but we will be. And we have no doubt about that because we offer real practical value to our candidates and their examiners and potential future employers. Our passion is to give people the best practical research training they can get anywhere and enable them to earn the best return on the time and money they invested in a professional education and designation.

Bringing True Investment Wisdom to Those in Need
To fulfill our charitable and educational mission and to bring true financial wisdom to those in need, we require all CSA candidates to provide fee investment literacy classes every year to the young and the poor, particularly in economically challenged regions. We also seek volunteers to help us in our global effort to bring investment wisdom to those who needed it the most.

The History
Benjamin Graham, widely known as the “dean of Wall Street,” first proposed a “Qualified Securities Analyst” designation In the late 1940s for members of the growing investment profession. After years of industry effort, leading professional qualifications like CFA, CFP, etc, emerged. However, due to the emergence of Modern Portfolio Theory and industry needs, those programs moved away from the value investment principles put forth by Benjamin Graham.

The Need for Hands-on Real-time Research Training
With respect for other professional certification programs, we feel that there is an important, huge and unfilled need for a hands-on real-time research program focused on practical value-based investment analysis as taught by Benjamin Graham and Warren Buffett.

There is also a urgent need to bring true financial wisdom to those who needed it the most. The global gap between the rich and the poor is widening. Traditional academic education does not teach the poor and the disadvantaged how to create wealth through intelligent investing. To close the gaps, we require CSA candidates to provide voluntary investment literacy teachings to the poor and the young, particularly in the economically challenged areas. The purpose of this volunteer program is firstly to benefit the world, and secondly to give our candidates practical training in leadership skills such as writing, organizing and public speaking. We all know that teaching is a critical activity that changed Warren Buffett’s life in areas of writing and speaking.

To focus on practical hands-on investment research, to bring true financial wisdom to those in need, to train next generation leaders for the investment world, we are proudly launching the CSA Institute for the Certified Securities Analyst (CSA) Program. We are seeking founding directors, national advisors, life-time members, and volunteers. This is the most exciting stage of a great organization that is destined make significant contributions to global prosperity. If you are interested in joining our campaign, or if you would like to suggest someone, we urge you to call: 646.388.0887 or email us your name and phone number at: info[at]CSAInstitute.org.

The work is hard. The journey is long. But the organizing and learning experience will change your life and your financial future.

P.S. Please share this website with colleagues and friends whom you feel might benefit from the CSA Programs. Many thanks.
