The Written Exam

For each level of the exam, a candidate must sit for a three hour exam testing his general knowledge about the framework of Graham-Buffett Value Investing. This is in addition to the research report requirements for each level.

Our written exams are designed to firmly implant the value investment frameworks into a candidates long-term memory. A majority of the written exam is centered around financial accounting and analyzing SEC disclosure documents.

Even for our written exams, we often use real-world real-time case study materials relevant to practical and actionable investment opportunities.

To successful prepare the written exams, a candidate must be able to quickly read through piles of financial disclosures and arrive at the essential facts and key drivers.
